About Mona Tideman Ball
Mona Tideman Ball is a San Francisco–based interior designer focused on creating spaces that feel thoughtful, personal, and connected to the people who inhabit them. With a background in Interior Architecture from Arizona State University, she approaches design through careful planning, material exploration, and a curiosity for how environments shape everyday experiences.
Raised in San Francisco, Mona developed an appreciation for the relationship between architecture, culture, and community. Her background in a Chinese immersion program and later a performing arts education fostered a curiosity for storytelling, craftsmanship, and creative expression. These perspectives continue to influence her approach to design.
With experience across residential, commercial, and hospitality projects, Mona is drawn to spaces that encourage connection and reflect a strong sense of place.
Inspired by timeless design, vintage finds, and layered materials, she believes the most memorable spaces feel collected rather than decorated. Her goal is to create environments that reflect the people who inhabit them while balancing beauty, functionality, and authenticity.
